CATCH brings together faculty from the Massachusetts General Hospital and Massachusetts Institute of Technology to undertake the next great venture in human health: the discovery and application of new ways to quantitatively measure the human condition (phenotypes) in health and disease.

CATCH will move beyond today's phenotypes (including familiar tests such as blood pressure or blood sugar) to pioneer new human measurements, as well as the integrative analytic methods needed to interpret these measurements in the context of patient clinical and genetic data. By convening a multidisciplinary group of engineers, physicians and industry partners, our goal is to transform how individuals monitor their own health, and how physicians prevent, diagnose, and treat disease.
